WINTER
is a great time to visit Lakeside Lodge. It becomes a birder's paradise
with
the arrival of the Bald Eagles, Golden-cheeked Warblers, and Black-capped
Vireo. The shorebirds are here also: White Pelicans, Great Blue
Heron, Seagulls, Osprey, and many, many more birds. A 2-½
hour scenic river cruise departs daily Wednesday through Monday.

SUMMER
means the heat is on and Lakeside Lodge is cool. Swim in big beautiful
Lake Buchanan, and sit in the shade and sip your lemonade while
enjoying our spectacular view
and cool breezes. Saturday night a 2-½ hour Sunset dinner
cruise is available. All kinds of watercrafts, canoe trips, sailboats,
and water activities abound on Lake Buchanan.
FALL
brings great weather for hiking. September and October travelers
can take
advantage of special rates and packages. The fall brings the Monarch
Butterflies and
the subtle changes of the foliage.
The
Stars can be seen year round at the Canyon of the Eagles Observatory.
