Winter is a great time to visit Lakeside Lodge. It becomes a birder’s paradise with the arrival of the Bald Eagles, Golden-cheeked Warblers, and the Black-capped Vireo. The shorebirds are here also. Weather permitting the Vanishing Texas River Cruise offers a 2 ½ hour dinner cruise on Saturday evening in addition to its regular daily boat rides.
